The day for the long awaited 2nd grade egg drop arrived! Grandma helped Andrew with a great idea and it was pretty simple to make. He cut open a nerf football and put the egg inside and then attached his parachute. IT looked cool and we were pretty confident in it. On Friday the principle gets on the roof and launches all the egg containers. The whole school watches and cheers. Andrew's did great and the parachute helped it float to the ground. He got one of the loudest cheers (a mama always love to hear this). When we got back to the classroom we discovered that the egg was broken. We think it may have broke when we were testing it the day before (mommy didn't take all the duct tape off to check) Mrs. Storey was great about teaching the kids about being scientists and testing a hypothesis, so it wasn't a big deal! We enjoyed this project and the special day the kids had launching their experiments!!
